Question 1

What does Attorney Match actually do?

Accepted Answer

Attorney Match is a free attorney directory. Browse by state, city and practice area, read an attorney's public profile, and contact them directly.

Question 2

Is this legal advice?

Accepted Answer

No. Attorney Match is not a law firm, not a lawyer-referral service, and not a substitute for a licensed attorney. Nothing on this site is legal advice, and using the Service does not create an attorney-client relationship.

Question 3

Who is this for?

Accepted Answer

Anyone in the United States trying to find an attorney who handles their kind of situation: individuals, families, and small businesses.

Question 4

What does it cost?

Accepted Answer

Searching the directory is free and needs no account. Attorneys can list for free, and can add an optional Elite subscription for a verified badge and a richer profile. Attorneys never pay to rank.

Question 5

Where do the attorney listings come from?

Accepted Answer

The directory is built from public court records (including the Free Law Project / CourtListener) and public legal-services directories, plus attorneys who claim and enrich their own listing. Attorneys never pay to rank.

Question 6

How is this different from a referral service?

Accepted Answer

A referral service is paid by attorneys to send them leads. Attorney Match takes no placement or referral fees from attorneys and never sends them your case.
