How do I…?

Go to Start and fill in five things: your email (your results link is sent there), the state your matter is in, the closest case type, and what happened, in your own words (at least 50 characters — dates, who was involved, and what you’ve tried all sharpen the match). You can optionally attach up to 3 supporting documents (text or PDF, 2 MB each) — a demand letter, a contract, an incident report.

Then you pay a one-time $10 through Stripe checkout. No subscription, nothing recurring. Matching runs automatically after payment and usually takes a couple of minutes; when it finishes, your private results link is emailed to you.

Your results live at a private link that was emailed to the address you entered at checkout — the email subject mentions your results being ready. That link is the only way in, so first check that inbox (and the spam folder) for a message from Attorney Match.

If you still have the results page open anywhere, click “Email me this link” at the top of it to re-send the link to yourself — free.

If the email is truly gone, contact us via Support & Feedback from the address you paid with and we can help. Note: if you clicked “Revoke this link” at some point, the link is permanently disabled — that’s what revoke is for.

Every qualified attorney we have who is licensed in your state and takes your kind of case, ranked by fit to your specific facts. The count varies by state and practice area — if only three fit, you see three; we never pad the list.

• Match score — how closely that attorney’s public profile fits your case. Never influenced by payment: no attorney can pay to appear or rank higher.
• “Why this attorney” — the specific reason they fit your facts.
• Trust signals — bar number (verify it yourself on your state bar’s public lookup), the attorney’s stated response time, and where the listing came from, with an explicit “not paid for placement” note.
• A personalized outreach letter for each attorney, ready to copy.

You send the letter yourself — we never contact any attorney on your behalf and never broadcast your case. On each match, hit Copy next to “Personalized outreach”, paste it into an email from your own address, read it over, edit anything that doesn’t sound like you, and send it to the attorney’s contact listed under “Attorney profile”.

Most well-framed outreach that gets a reply gets it within a few business days — but a response is never guaranteed; that decision is the attorney’s alone. Telling us what happened in the “Did this attorney respond?” box is optional, stays private to you, and helps us improve the letters.

• Free — filtering and refining the results you already paid for (by fee structure or experience level), as often as you like. It never re-runs the match and never charges you.
• $5 — “Run again with new info”: a brand-new matching run, useful when your situation has evolved or you have new documents. This is a separate charge and produces a fresh result set.
• Free — re-sending your results link, downloading everything, and revoking the link.

There is no subscription for people seeking an attorney, and no refunds once results are generated — see Refunds.

Download all (top right of your results) saves every match and every letter as one text file on your device.

Revoke this link permanently disables the private URL — anyone opening it afterward, including you, sees a “revoked” page. Use it if the link was forwarded somewhere you didn’t want, or you simply want the results offline. Download first — revoking cannot be undone from the website.

Before you pay, the intake form warns you if few or no listed attorneys currently fit your state and case type — you can switch to a broader case type or come back later. If a paid run finds nothing, your link stays live for 30 days and we email you if matching attorneys join the directory. Results are not refundable once generated, which is why the warning comes first.

Yes. Browse (/find) lists attorneys by state and case type, free — each attorney has a public profile page, and you can draft a free intro email from it. The $10 run adds what browsing can’t: ranking everyone against your specific facts, plus a personalized letter for each attorney.

Get listed / claim your listing: apply at Get listed. Listing is free, and attorneys never pay for placement or ranking. Your application is reviewed (including the bar number you provide) before your profile goes live.

Sign in: Attorney login (top right). Forgot your password? Use the reset link on the sign-in page and check your email. Your account email must match the contact email on your listing.

Edit your listing: once signed in, Manage your listing lets you update your practice areas, the case types you’re actively accepting (you’re only matched on those) or declining, fee structures and rates, your response-time promise, and your profile summary. You can pause new matches any time without losing your listing; re-activating a paused listing goes through an admin.

Account security: change your password or turn on two-factor authentication under Settings (visible in the header once you’re signed in).
